Ho Ho Hellfire Christmas Special

We’re just one week away from Ho Ho Hellfire 2. Let’s take a look at what’s in store for us next Wednesday at the Hellfire Film Festival Christmas Special.

On Wednesday 27th December we’re hosting the second annual Christmas Special affectionately titled “Ho Ho Hellfire” and it’s going to be a big affair.

Proceedings begin at 6pm at the Lime Bar Cafe in Folkestone with a selection of festive short films. All short films are independently produced by filmmakers all around the world and were submitted through FilmFreeway.

UK Premiere – “Christmas Slay”

At 7pm the highlight of the evening begins. The UK Premiere of the festive horror Christmas Slay. The film is a modern take on the typically cheesy 80s slasher movie. The film will be followed by the screening of “The Making of”.

The story of begins on a wintry Christmas Eve in the picturesque Kentish countryside, the horrific murder of a loving family, and the capture of a Santa Claus-obsessed blood-thirsty killer. As Christmas approaches the following year, a group of college girlfriends decide to get away from it all and relax and party over the festive holiday, they decide to escape to the idyllic Mistletoe Lodge nestled within the beautiful snowy mountains of the Scottish Highlands, what starts off as the perfect festive getaway of fun in the snow and a glass of eggnog or two, suddenly descends into a gruesome bloodbath of terror and a fight for survival.

Present throughout the evening will be the film’s cast and crew including the evil Santa, Frank Jakeman.

The Lime Bar Cafe is the spiritual home of Hellfire Film Festival and is the venue for all of the Short Film Festival qualifying rounds. A good selection of ales will be available at the bar along with mince pies.
