Siren’s Bay gets its UK premiere
Casting your mind back to a previous Hellfire Short Film Festival you may remember short film trailer shot in Folkestone.
The film in question was Siren’s Bay, written and directed by Folkestone filmmaker Dominic Pillai.
We were delighted to be informed that Siren’s Bay was to get its world premiere at the Cannes Film Festival in May. Dominic was present at the screening and later said that it was a dream come true to have one of his films shown at Cannes.
In Dominic’s own words Siren’s Bay is “psychological gothic horror set on the south east coast of England. Dr Woods is a troubled academic who must confront her inner demons as the line between the natural and the supernatural begins to blur.”
UK PREMIERE
In May Siren’s Bay had its world premiere, now Dominic has arranged its UK premiere. It will be screened at the Sunflower House in Folkestone on October 15th and will also include a Q&A session with Dominic and hosted by BBC journalist Audrey Green Oakes. Furthermore you will have the opportunity to see the Making of Siren’s Bay documentary by James Pyott while musical entertainment for the evening will be a live set from the film’s composers Call Back The Giants.
If you are available on October 15th please do show your support for Dominic and Siren’s Bay. Entry is free.
