Papa Spyk Memorial
Tonight at Lime Bar Cafe in Folkestone we are gathering to remember the great man Edouard “Papa Spyk” Gheur. The former actor, Hollywood stuntman, rugby player, bodybuilder and author who lived in Folkestone, passed away in August after major heart surgery in a Liverpool hospital.
Spyk was a friend of Hellfire and the organisers were honoured to be asked to host a memorial night for him. At a recent Hellfire Short Film Festival evening a short documentary about Spyk’s life was screened and we will be showing it again tonight along with home videos sent to us by his friends and family. A small tribute video will also be screened.
The event begins at 7.30pm tonight (Thursday 8th September) at the Lime Bar Cafe, Tontine Street, Folkestone.
